Fellowship Concerning Brother Lee’s Deep Concern Regarding the Future of the Lord’s Recovery and the Responsibility of the Ministry

Our brother told us that the devil tries to subtly creep into the churches in the recovery and bring in damaging foreign things that are cleverly disguised and difficult to discern. These things may appear to be part of the Lord’s recovery, but their inward element and nature are absolutely different. This is a real battle. The Lord’s only wayto gain the earth is to recover and spread the truth. The truth is the only remedy, inoculation, and antibiotic. The truths need to be inscribed into our being in a way that cannot be erased.

Today among us the Lord has recovered the central revelation of Paul’s completing ministry concerning Christ as the mystery of God and the church as the mystery of Christ. This vision includes the Body of Chirst, the new man, and our organic union with the Lord. Brother Nee once confided in Brother Lee that he was unhappy with the situation in mainland China because many followed his ministry yet did not see the vision that he saw. Likewise, Brother Lee’s greatest concern was whether many of the saints truly saw the central vision. If they did not see the vision, then their labor was in vain. Numbers mean nothing without the central vision.

The difference between the Lord’s recovery and traditional Christianity is the central vision. If the saints do not see the central vision, we will become a repetition of traditional Christianity, and the Lord will be delayed in carrying out His recovery and accomplishing His purpose. This is serious. This is why we do not care primarily for the spreading of the churches, the increase in numbers, or other apparent signs of blessing. Instead, our main interest is to release the word concerning the central vision and to care for the real situation in all the churches.

Some saints must see the central vision in solid way in order fo the Lord to have a way; otherwise, we are only a repetition and a part of traditional Christianity. We all need to see the vision in Paul’s completing ministry. At this time the Lord is carrying out His ultimate recovery. The time will come when there will be nothing left to be recovered. This is the highest peak of the Lord’s recovery – the highest peak of the Bible is Paul’s completing ministry. John’s mending ministry strengthens and confirms Paul’s completing ministry. These two ministries are like a single mountain with two peaks.

Sooner of later the Lord will carry out the highest peak of His recovery. If we fail Him, He will be forced to wait and to gain another people, those who will find and treasure what we have spoken and published but failed to appreciate or experience. Although our Brother Lee was concerned for the present recovery, the leading brothers, and the result of his ministry, he was comforted by knowing that if this generation fails the Lord, all the truths are printed and will remain for another generation to pick up and carry out. He knew that as long as the truth is released, it will not return vainly.

Whether this truth accomplishes its purpose today or we fail and delay it, some day it will prevail to accomplish its goal. What the Lord and the churches need today is  for us to carry out the truth that He has opened to us in His Word; otherwise, we can do only an ordinary Christian work.

Brother Lee also told us that we should meet and function because our vision is an inner motivation that causes us to be fresh and burning in spirit.

What then is the responsibility of the ministry? We have the church, the work, and the ministry, all of which take the Body as the governing principle. The church is the Body in miniature, in expression; the work is the Body seeking increase; and the ministry is the Body in function. The ministry serves the church and serves the work by maintaining the focus of the central vision. There is the constant need for some to be watchmen on the wall with the trumpet in their hand, and by their prayer, the prayer of God, the prayer in the realm of God’s economy, they watch over the entire situation of the recovery for any signs of deviation and any lack of vision. Then if any such sign appears, the ministry will come forth.

As one of many brothers serving the Lord in this corporate ministry, as long as I have breath, I will pray and speak concerning this, along with my dear fellow slaves, so that during our course, we would never deviate. If we become part of traditional Christianity, we are finished.

-Bro. R. K.; The Ministry of the Word – Crystallization-Study of Daniel and Zechariah. Vol. 17, No.1., January 2013. pp. 238-239

There is just so much weight when the brother shared this. We never want to fail the Lord. Now, as we pray to Him, we no longer should pray to be humble, patient, or loving, but only to become the reproduction of Christ as the Lamb-stone. Day by day we are being stonified. Only stones can be built up. We need to pray in such a way that we are praying for the building. Unless the church is built-up, the Lord cannot come back.

Lord Jesus, we don’t want to delay Your return. Infuse us more with Yourself as the Stone with seven eyes for Your building. Lord, look into us. Cause us to be Your duplication, Your reproduction. Constrain us with the central vision!

Swim into the Church Life

Revelation 22:1

And 1he ashowed me a 2briver of 3cwater of life, bright as 4dcrystal, eproceeding out of the 5fthrone of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its 6gstreet.

Last Jan 31-Feb 1, Bro. Ron K. came to Davao City and shared the riches in this verse shortly. The following is just some of what I have enjoyed from his speaking. If only I could copy in verbatim all that he said…

The consummation of the church today is the New Jerusalem. Today, the church life is a miniature of the New Jerusalem and every believer is a little New Jerusalem. There are three things in the New Jerusalem that we have to see as we can enjoy them in the church life today.

First, the verse above speaks of a river. A river is stronger and larger than a brook. Hence, the river of water of life is a strong flow of life. The New Jerusalem is a city of transparent gold. It is bright and clear as crystal. How can we experience this brightness and purity in the church life today? The world may be muddy, dark and opaque but when this river flows, the more Christ as purity it brings to us. A young brother also shared that to be pure in heart as spoken of in Matthew 5:8 is no longer impossible then. We just have to be in the flow! However, where does this river come from?

The second thing we see is the throne. This throne is not only of God but also of the Lamb. Thankfully, the throne is not mainly a throne of fire as shown in Ezekiel which is for judgement as it is according to God’s righteousness and holiness, but the throne is a throne of water, of grace. There, is the Lamb. Since it is a Lamb, we are not scared to come to the throne. It’s not a lion to devour us. We, the church as the Bride will be married to this Lamb in which we shall then be Mrs. Lamb. 🙂 This is the source of the river. The redeeming God, not the judging God, is the source. “When we honor this throne, the river flows.” If our we are stubborn, our minds not sober and we are suffering in emotion, there will be no flowing since there is no throne. We need to come back to the throne for the river to flow.

In Genesis 2, there is the tree of life in the middle of the garden. But in Revelation we have a different picture. The tree is in the river. The river signifies the processed and consummated Triune God flowing as the Spirit. “As long as we have this, we have everything.” This is why I can’t live without water, but if there’s only water, I can’t live with water alone. We need solid food and this is where the need of the tree of life comes in, the third thing seen in the New Jerusalem. The tree of life is not a tall tree that it is difficult to reach. Rather, it is just a vine. Wherever we are, no matter where locality, we can all reach this tree. Since this tree is in the river, what we need is to get into this river. How?

There are two ways to experience the river – the constant way and the instant way. A river does not flow every 10 minutes. Instead, it flows all the time and we can sense this flow in the spirit. Hence, it is constantly flowing. In 1 Corinthians 12:13, we can also see that we “were all given to 5edrink one fSpirit.” To enjoy the river in the instant way is by drinking. But this drinking is not like the drinking using a glass. In order to drink, we must be underwater, then it is safe to open our mouth. We rest in this flow, we swim in this flow. As the river flows, the throne comes, and the tree comes. This is why it is “a flowing river and a tree.” (Hymn 509)

To the church in Ephesus, the overcomers will eat of the tree of life. Today, we also eat of this tree in the church life. As we continue to be in the fellowship of the Body of Christ, which is the flowing river, we also enjoy Him as the redeeming God, and the life supply. This is why the river of water of life must have the first place in the church life. So here’s a suggestion by Bro. Ron: Let’s all live here forever.

Saints, what do you say to this?

Only a Member, Reality of the Body of Christ

There is one point I am deeply impressed from tonight’s fellowship and that is – I am only a member of the Body of Christ.

I am a believer in the Lord and I am a child of God. Being so, I can exist alone. However, as a member I cannot exist alone neither can I live independently apart from the Body and that in itself it is incomplete. To be a member, we not only have the consciousness that we believe in the Lord and that we are truly children of God but most of all, we must have the Body-consciousness.

In Romans 12:2, we see the perfect will of God and in verses 4-5, we see the one Body in Christ. This one Body is what God has willed.

“..the will of God is that we whom God has chosen, called, redeemed, justified, sanctified, and conformed unto glorification in the preceding eleven chapters may be members one of another to have the living of the Body of Christ (vv. 3-5). The Body of Christ is the peak of God’s divine revelation. The living of the Body is the issue and goal of the presenting of our bodies, the renewing of our mind, and all the life practices in the foregoing chapters.” (Romans12:2 note 6)

“We are one Body in Christ, having an organic union with Him. This union makes us one in life with Him and with all the other members of His Body. The Body is not an organization or a society but is altogether an organism produced by the union in life that we have with Christ.” (Romans 12:5 note 1)

Thank the Lord that He was processed that we may be one in Him! As being in Him, we need to stay in Him. Only when we are in Christ are we in one Body. Positionally, we have been in the one Body. But in reality, are we always in the one Body? Christ as the life of the Body is in all the members in the mingled spirit. Thus, even when we’re gathered together but are in the mind, we only think that we are in the Body but not in reality. For us to be in the reality of the Body, we need constant exercise of the mingled spirit!

The goal of our gospel preaching and establishing of churches is not just for the increase in number. The goal is the building up of the Body of Christ. And this is the direction of the Lord’s move today. Without the Body, there can be no Bride, no Army, no Stone, and no Kingdom(Mountain).

In Ephesians 1:23, we can see that the Body is “the 2bfullness of the One who 3cfills all in all.”

The Body of Christ is not an organization but an organism constituted of all the regenerated believers for the expression and activities of the Head. The Body of Christ is the issue of the incarnated, crucified, resurrected, and ascended Christ, who has come into the church. By means of the ascended Christ’s heavenly transmission, we are made one with Him, and thus His Body is produced.”

Other verses that relate to the Body are Colossians 1:18, showing that Christ is the Head of the Body, 1 Corinthians 1:910:16, Acts 2:42, and 1 John 1:3 where we can see the fellowship of the Body. As the Head, only Christ has the authority in Himself. We have no authority in ourselves and we should never assume authority. We should honor the head by praying to Him. Also, we need to learn how to fellowship which is a way to honor the Body.

If we see that we are members of the one Body, we can never be independent, never individual. This is our goal in all of this, whatever this is that we do. This is the direction of the Lord’s move. Without the Body, the Lord cannot come back. He will not return for the trees (local churches) alone, He is returning to gather the first fruits (reality of the Body). The Body cannot be built by doctrine and theology. May we all come to the Lord that we may be brought to the experience of the reality of the Body of Christ. May God’s will be done on earth!
